OC Supervisor Andrew Do Calls for Special Meeting to Vote on Homeless Health Care Proposal

Santa Ana, California – Today, Supervisor Andrew Do unveiled his Homeless Health Care Action Plan  in response to CalOptima’s slow rate of progress for homeless services.  Out of the 210 homeless deaths last year, 153 were CalOptima members. In light of this humanitarian crisis, Supervisor Do called for a Special CalOptima Board of Directors meeting on June 14 to vote on his action plan.

Andrew Do Elected as 1st District Supervisor

Via special election held January 27, 2015, Andrew Do was elected 1st District Supervisor. He fills the office vacated December 1, 2014 by Janet Nguyen, who now serves in the California Senate representing the state’s 34th District. Do was sworn in February 3, 2015 just prior to his taking part in his first Board meeting as a supervisor. With his daughters looking on, Do’s wife, Superior Court Judge Cheri Pham, issued the oath office.

County Approves a Plan for John Wayne Airport General Aviation Improvement Program

Santa Ana, Calif. (June 26, 2019) – Yesterday the Orange County Board of Supervisors approved a plan for improvements to the General Aviation (GA) facilities at John Wayne Airport (JWA). On a vote of 5-0, the Board approved the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and a project proposal put forward by Vice Chair Michelle Steel, Second District Supervisor, limiting space for medium and large general aviation jet aircraft, and dedicating space exclusively for light GA aircraft.

Orange County Settlement on Homeless Litigation Finalized, Effective Immediately Announces Supervisor Andrew Do

The landmark settlement agreement announced last week by Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do, the county's lead negotiator for homeless litigation, was signed by all parties today and filed in Judge David O. Carter’s courtroom. The agreement is effective immediately.

The Orange County Catholic Worker and Ramirez settlement agreement includes the following components:
