Join Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do and OC Public Works at the August 20th groundbreaking ceremony of a new bike trail in Santa Ana.

 

The Santa Ana Gardens Bikeway, located between the streets of Monte Vista and McFadden, will provide children with a safe route from the park to Monte Vista Elementary School. The final phase of the bikeway project is expected to be completed in November.

 

Homelessness In Orange County: New Civic Center Bathrooms Will Provide 24/7 Access For Homeless

As part of its comprehensive response to homelessness in Orange County, Supervisor Andrew Do has announced plans to install new bathrooms at the Orange County Civic Center, providing 24-hour access for hundreds of people who are currently homeless.

Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do, who has spearheaded the county’s homeless response, said that bathroom access is one of the most frequent complaints he’s heard from his discussions with homeless residents.

Orange County Mourns Passing of Former Supervisor Marian Bergeson

County officials mourned the passing Wednesday of former Supervisor Marian Bergeson, who was elected to represent the Fifth District on the Board of Supervisors in 1994 after a prestigious career in the state Legislature.

Mrs. Bergeson left the Board in November 1996 after being appointed by then-Gov. Pete Wilson to serve as California’s Secretary of Education. She later served on the state Board of Education and on the California Transportation Commission.

Homeless Shelter Operator Should Prioritize Innovation, Value For Taxpayers


The County of Orange has opened the bidding process for running the county’s first permanent, year-round homeless shelter. At the Orange County Board of Supervisors May 10th meeting, a unanimous board voted to initiate the next step in its efforts to address homelessness in the county.
 

Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do said that the county should look for a vendor that will deliver the best value for taxpayers and prioritize innovation in addressing homelessness in Orange County.
